Recently my soul has been prodding me to go deeper and unearth what I REALLY want to be doing in my business.
Since this is what I help my clients do, I laughed at the irony of it.
And then I realized I needed help… and the universe delivered an angel to me in the form of Peleg Top, who is a spiritual teacher and branding and marketing mentor for creative professionals.
We booked private retreats with each other and here are a few of my takeaways that could also benefit those you (or maybe you’re just curious about what’s next for me!):
- For your business to grow, you must grow.
I was able to see the places that I’ve been subtly unclear or holding back. Being bolder is a growth path for me. Looking at myself through the Enneagram was super-insightful. (I’m a 9).
- I’m excited to design my living that includes working.
I see how much of my focus has been on working (and squeezing life in around that) and the underlying belief that work needs to be 40+ hours/week. I’m all set for EASY!
- Your brand is what people say about you when you’re not in the room.
Consider Goggle. You immediately think “search engine.” Or the new restaurant in town that everyone says, “small plates, expensive food.” You need to be clear about what your message is so that your tribe is too.
- Branding starts with the essence of who you are and your deepest gifts, then gets translated into your message through copywriting and finally, there’s the visual language that you develop for your website.
I discovered an “organizing principle” for my brand, which is the basis of my (current) life’s work. It’s juicy and bold – and I can’t wait to share!
- Guess what? I’m pregnant!
With a new brand/business that is… Branding takes time and I’ve been encouraged to slow down and nurture and play with this idea. The take action part of me is NOT happy about this – and I see the wisdom in it.
- My soul is asking for the time and space to do deeper and do more “shamanic” work along the lines of shamanic business coaching for heart-centered entrepreneurs.
I’m having to ask for more support, step into my power and make some changes to how I currently work. Scary – and exciting! Each and every one of you were rooting for more “shamanic!”
- It’s hard to read the label from inside the bottle.
While I can do this kind of work and reflecting for others, it’s almost impossible for myself. I got to see how my clients feel as they go through this birthing process!
- I’ve been ignoring the spiritual teacher within me in the name of being a coach.
Time to let her out!
- If you haven’t gotten to that strong inner “YES! This is what I am meant to be doing!,” then you usually are stuck in the “How is this business going to work?”
I’m happy to say that I’m committed to my soul being my divine consultant and trusting that the “how” will fall into place.
