When you’re doing everything right and life still feels off.

Lately I’ve had the sensation of not being able to catch my breath.

There’s so much happening in the world that I deeply feel.

There’s so much happening in my own life that’s loud.

And yet… above all else, I make time every single day to stop.

To breathe.

To tune into my body and my Spirit guides.

To listen.

I wouldn’t be able to navigate or hold all that I do without this skillset.

And it is a skillset.

One born from exhaustion. From disconnection. From a quiet unhappiness I couldn’t ignore.

My life looked good on the outside.

But I knew it didn’t fit.

I knew I was meant for more.

I used to rush from call to call. From school pickup to errands. Checking in on friends. Donating to causes. Planning date nights. Creating beautiful gatherings. Maintaining a spiritual practice. Keeping a lovely home.

I was doing everything right.

And still, I felt off.

Was life meant to be this full to the point of depletion?

Were the voices in my head meant to be this loud?

Were my deeper longings meant to stay tucked away?

I had done decades of inner work. Therapy. Emotional processing. Spiritual trainings. Past lives. Energy work. Healing modalities.

I could name and identify all my beliefs – including the “I don’t matter” wound that so many of us women carry.

Yet what I hadn’t done was slow down.

Way down.

To regularly create space to feel. To know. To receive guidance.

To stop the subtle hustle.

To allow my nervous system to reset after years of over-giving.

I knew if I slowed down, I would hear what I didn’t want to hear.

And I wouldn’t be able to un-hear it.

But I also knew I would become more present.

A better mother.

A clearer leader.

A wiser steward of my money.

A more embodied healer.

I’d need to start surrendering, co-creating and trusting the unknown.

And I would finally begin living from my heart — not just my brilliant mind.

If you’re sitting in that discomfort right now…

Knowing you need to slow down and listen.

Feeling that strange in-between of knowing-not-knowing.

Not ready to leap — but unable to stay the same.

It’s not a mistake.

Sometimes we rest.

Sometimes we take the first breadcrumb step.

Sometimes we leap.

Only you can know what’s true for you.

And that begins with listening.

So I’m curious…

If you slowed down enough to really hear yourself right now —

what do you sense is asking for attention?
